'Abdullāh Ibn-Mas'ūd said, "We went out with the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, when we were young men who could not afford anything. He said, 'Young men, seek marriage, for it promotes lowering of the gaze (1) and preserves from immorality (2). He who cannot afford marriage, should observe fast, for indeed fasting aids abstinence (2).'"
